Mark Gatiss: More Than 30 Years in the TARDIS (Photo Gallery)

Why have I never seen this photo of baby Mark in the Dalek before? This adorableness calls for a repeat of the story…
In 1993 the famous Daleks on Westminster Bridge scene was recreated for the Doctor Who 30th anniversary and a certain young Doctor Who fanboy went along to watch the historic moment, only to discover that one of the Dalek operators hadn’t turned up and they were in need of someone with an Equity card to step in at short notice.

I always claimed to be the big black and gold Dalek, but I’m actually the one that’s a bit smaller than the others! Disappointingly small… But what that still poster won’t tell you… is how much effort I put into being a Dalek… I thought ‘I’m not just going to peddle like Fred Flintstone, I’m going to make the eyestalk and exterminator move too.’ As a result I got incredible friction burns and bits of fibreglass speared into me, but it was worth it. - Mark Gatiss in Doctor Who Magazine #332

Thought you might like to see the stuff I got for other people at Comic Con.  I went to the official Hello Kitty booth (and boy was that a long hike) and got Tyisha (miubastet) a little charm that goes in her headphone jack on her iPhone, and it came with a poster and a head band and a cute little bag.

For my friend Kat, I got a Big Bang Theory mug and three buttons.

For my mom, this Psych shirt that promotes the Psych musical.  I love that show but they were out of shirts in my size.

For Erika (chikara-otaku) I got a towel of the Van Gogh TARDIS explosion plainting, and it came with a Doctor Who 50th anniversary lanyard.  I also got her a rad punk!Rose print and a punk!11 button from Cara (areyoutryingtodeduceme).

All three of the Punk Doctors, in one convenient Photoset I guess. Also with Eleven re-worked a tiny bit.

Who is this artist because I love them?

Good question bro.

Hello areyoutryingtoseduceme.

I love you and your art.
Have a cookie.

I love you and your plate of cookies toasterwafflesandllamas. But I think you’ve misread a thing ;)

Why did Eleven’s tats vanish when I reblogged this?
